Olympia’s HUGS program is an adaptive gymnastics experience designed to help children of all abilities grow stronger, more confident, and more connected. With a focus on movement, social development, and fun, HUGS is offered at Olympia Ellisville and Team Central, with a range of classes, clinics, and team opportunities to meet each athlete’s needs.

HUGS ParentTot

50 minute class

Ages 3 - 5

Our ParentTot class is a joyful introduction to movement for children ages 3–5 with the support of a parent or caregiver. This class focuses on basic motor skills, body awareness, and social interaction through play-based activities—all in a calm, supportive environment designed for success.

HUGS Gymnastics 5 to 8 year olds

50 minute class

Ages 5 - 8

For ages 5–8, this class encourages independence while continuing to build physical and social skills. With individualized lesson plans based on each child’s needs, athletes work on coordination, balance, strength, and turn-taking, all in a small-group setting that supports confidence and growth.

HUGS Gymnastics 8 & Up

50 minute class

Ages 8+

Designed for older athletes, this class supports physical development, confidence, and peer interaction in a structured but flexible environment. Individualized plans help each child progress at their own pace, with a continued focus on coordination, strength, and social-emotional growth—all while having fun and feeling successful.

HUGS Ninja

50 minute class

Ages 5+

HUGS Ninja blends the excitement of obstacle-based movement with the individualized support of our adaptive programs. Athletes build strength, balance, agility, and confidence as they jump, climb, and swing their way through fun, accessible challenges. Classes are tailored to meet each child’s needs, with a focus on safety, encouragement, and celebrating every victory—big or small.

HUGS Team

50 minute class

Ages 5+

The HUGS Team gives athletes with diverse abilities the chance to shine in a supportive, team-focused environment. With three progressive levels—Sapphire, Ruby, and Emerald—gymnasts develop skills at their own pace while building confidence, independence, and friendships. Team members have the opportunity to compete in 8–10 meets per year, including the Missouri State Championships. Olympia Ellisville is proud to be the current HUGS State Champion.
